Escola Vedruna de L’Espluga de Francolí (Tarragona) is one of those centers that understood the digital challenge of the classroom a long time ago. Hence, the tools they use will have a great role at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) fair, which will be held from May 10 to 13, 2022 in the Catalan capital.
As explained by the director of Primary Education at the school, Cristina Campos, “the goal is to make our students competent people in an increasingly digital world. And for that, a digitally prepared and critical teaching staff is necessary”. Advances in the world of education will therefore be one of the bastions of the 2022 edition of the ISE show, the largest exhibition in the industry of audiovisual systems and experiences.

In the technological advances for which the Escola Vedruna has opted, the computer services company Deteinco has participated. Its head, Simó Albareda, is one of those who believes that “with the new situation generated by the pandemic, it has been shown that those who have best adapted to the new normality have been the institutions with the highest degree of digitization, especially the centers educational”.
That is why Albareda recommends visiting the ISE fair “both for those educational centers that are in an initial phase of the digitization process and are looking for a first contact with the technologies that are available to them, as well as for those that are already immersed at an advanced stage of the process and are looking for new tools that can improve their day-to-day activities”. “ISE represents a unique opportunity to find the different solutions that manufacturers make available to them,” he concludes.

The momentum of the pandemic
Schools, universities and training centers were clear that it was a matter of time to have to adapt to everything that digital audiovisual technologies offer for the development of a class. Teachers and students demanded these advances. So everything indicated that, in the medium or long term, chalk and paper would not be enough to assume that need for change. But it was the covid-19 pandemic that accelerated the digital transformation of education. Classes could not be held in person. And there was the AV technology to offer solid and efficient solutions.

Companies in the sector have also developed camera transmissions, online videos, specialized educational software, screens and projectors, lecterns and collaboration tables, wireless presentation and collaboration systems, annotations and real-time captions or ceiling microphones.

Its director of Innovation and Technology, Raúl Gargallo, explains that they are receiving “more and more inquiries about projects, in which educational excellence has to have that translation in technology to be able to listen to the classroom in real time and with optimal quality. This is very important when students have to attend classes that last four or five hours, since the intellectual fatigue of both student and teacher can become very evident”.
The optimal and innovative training provided by AVANZIA can be verified by students and professors of IE University. AVANZIA has achieved, for example, AV equipment for classrooms that allow different plans for producing video by proximity, voice detection, wall-mounted touch boards and collaborative device or software screens to mix the classroom environment and fragments of screens from various participants.
Nearly 700 exhibitors will present their solutions for a future of classrooms in continuous progress at ISE 2022. Tools that should lead teachers and students to a goal, yes, that has never changed: learning.
